"On the 6" is the first album of Jlo, and it refers to the N° 6 subway line she took to move to the center of Castle Hill (Bronx). The album was released on June 1, 1999, and it reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 200. In that year, the first single "If You Had My Love" debuted at N°1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Waiting For Tonight" reached the top ten hit. The album also contained a spanish duet, "No Me Ames" with Marc Anthony, which peaked at N°1 on the U.S.A. Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. Jennifer Lopez won a Grammy Award for "Best Dance Recording" with the final single, "Let's Get Loud". The album sold 9.5 million copies.
